What "International Standards" Actually Means
When we say we work to international standards, we’re not using that phrase as marketing language. We mean specific, concrete things:
- We use correctly rated cables and components for every application – not whatever happens to be cheapest or most available at the time.
- We install proper earthing and fault protection devices (RCDs) on every circuit that requires them, not just the ones a client might notice.
- We route and support cables properly – in conduit where required, with proper fixings, not just run loose behind walls.
- We test our work before we sign it off, using calibrated instruments, not just a visual inspection.
- We provide documentation of what was installed and how it was configured.
The Cost of Cutting Corners
Electrical work that’s done to a lower standard costs less initially. But the real cost emerges later: in higher energy bills from inefficient or undersized wiring, in electrical fires, in equipment damage caused by poor earthing, and in expensive remedial work when the problems eventually surface.
We’ve been called in to fix work carried out by less rigorous contractors on many occasions. It’s almost always more expensive to fix than it would have been to do correctly the first time.
Our Promise to You
We will always tell you what you need, explain why, and give you a clear price before we start. We won’t cut corners without telling you – and if you ask us to cut corners, we’ll explain honestly why we’d rather not. Our reputation is built on work that holds up over time, and we intend to keep it that way.
