I struggled. For years, I struggled with something that sounds so simple on the surface – getting safe, reliable electrical work done in my own home. And if you’re a woman living independently in Bangkok, I think you might know exactly what I mean.

Every time something went wrong at home – a trip switch, a flickering socket, a wiring question – I felt that familiar knot in my stomach. Not because I was afraid of electricity itself, but because I had no reliable way to know if the person I was calling was actually qualified. Was he certified? Was this even safe? Would I have to explain the same problem three times before anything got fixed?
That feeling – that combination of helplessness and suspicion – is something too many women in Thailand live with every day. And it’s not weakness. It’s a completely rational response to a market that had never properly served us.
That was the moment I asked myself: why isn't there a proper electrical company built around trust, transparency, and real standards? And then I thought - why don't I build it?
Why I was the person to do it.
My brother, Ghirasak Fungsathian – Khun Tar, is an engineer. Even back then – before he’d finished university – he understood electrical systems at a level most professionals didn’t. And our family had deep roots in this industry. I had access to real knowledge, real standards, and people I could actually vouch for.
So I stopped going back and forth with myself. I stopped asking “is this the right moment?” and I started asking “if not now, when?” That question is what brought GRS Electrical Bangkok into existence.
I started it for women like me. Independent women who deserved a service they could call without second-guessing. Women who just wanted the job done – properly, safely, and by someone they could trust.
What happened next surprised even me.
I built GRS for women. And women came. But then – quietly, steadily – something else happened. Men started calling. Corporate clients started calling. Large companies with complex electrical needs started calling. The very market I thought I was solving a niche problem for turned out to be a problem everyone had.
